I went through a deep cleaning and received Arestin in 5 areas (pockets). With insurance covered, I still had to pay $280 out of pocket. That hurts more than my teeth.
Lesson learned....do not put off dentist appointments.

Trust me the deep cleaning was worth it though I just lost a tooth because the pocket was like a 10 and I tought at first my dentist was crazy because there was nothing wrong with my tooth until she took it out and showed it to me first of all the tooth was decaying in the pocket and after my tooth was gone I realized my gums where swollen. Wow my teeth around the one tooth totally feel 100% better and after everything my smile is totally worth it.

Arestin is an injectable antibiotic given around your teeth if the pockets are deep like yours. It does help heal your gums and it takes about 28days for the gums to heal. It is very good for your dental health and don't feel like it's not worth it, there are some officea that charge more than what you paid.
