Make the call of the Screech Owl. That's one of the Barred Owls favorite meals, so you should be able to find a few. Their nests are usually well hidden though.

Leave the owls alone. They're a protected species.

You can find them Look for Owl balls.......They regurgitate their food and spit out what they cant digest. Once you know what to look for you can find them.

Follow them around during breeding season listening for hooting and looking for activity near cavities? What do you want them for?
