Drink 2 litres a day. Also take cranberry juice it helps neutralise the bladder so its harder for infection to take hold.

Actually drinking cranberry juice can almost guarantee stopping a UTI. If you don't have an active UTI, then making sure you have the prescribed 8 glasses of water a day can help you avoid one. But, once you feel the start of a UTI, hit the cranberry juice (and only cranberry juice) until it resolves.

I had a rehab patient one time who (for a joke, of course) put cranberry in his leg bag. When asked why, he said he was just passing up the middle man.....works for quads and paras...should work for you.

The average person should drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day. Acidic drinks also help somewhat, like cranberry juice. Keep the area clean and dry, and wear cotton underwear so the skin can breathe. Try not to "hold it" often when you need to pee, go when you feel the urge to do so.

Don't use douches or scented body sprays there either. If you wear the pantyliners, don't wear the scented ones. Sometimes the chemicals used to "freshen" these products cause more problems. Pantyliners are ok, good even. Just not the scented ones. Wear cotton panties when you can. Especially in hot weather. I know, they are not sexy at all but your body needs to breathe and satin doesn't do it. Silk is good, real silk not nylon or spandex. Going commando (no underpants) will cause you you to have uti and yeast infections too.

Oh yeah and if you take any antibiotics, ask your doctor for yeast infection meds too.

Apple cranberry juice is produced from concentration which signifies that it nonetheless has a number of sugar in it. the ultimate aspect to apply is a cranberry juice with out extra sugar. in case you don't love the flavor you'll hit upon a strong cranberry pill to take and drink a good number of water. Use the restroom often.

Drink plenty of water everday. 8-10 glasses. Cranberry pills help UTI's faster than cranberry juice. Either helps alot. Tight clothing in that area doesn't help either. ;p Good luck,x

You need cranberries. You can drink cranberry juice, but that tends not to have a lot of actual cranberry juice in it. So I recommend cranberries in a pill form. Like Cranassure. You can get them anywhere vitamins are sold. It really works.
