And if so... where is the best place to sit? Would it be front of orchestra section, OR up in the balcony?

Yes. I saw my favorite singer there, Emma Kirkby.
The seating is very steep, so if you're nervous about heights, make sure you're on a lower level. As far as I recall, you can see the stage quite well from just about anywhere, but the higher you are, the farther away you will be.
The whole area surrounding the theatre is beautifully landscaped. It's a real treat.
