You know, I'm not a grandparent, but I have a 1 1/2yr. old and she is the only grand child right now and she is soooooo spoiled. I love watching her with PaPa and Grandma. Not only is she the light of their eyes, but they are the light of her eyes. I had a really close relationship with my dad's parents and I hope my daughter has the same experience. I think every child should get to experience grandparents in a good way.

Yes, it is amazing, and it's too bad you have to have the kids first to get them! ;)
I have two granddaughters; one of them is wonderful and I consider her the embodiment of love. Her love for us is as pure as I have ever known from a child. I'm hoping the other granddaughter will someday be wonderful too, but am not holding my breath. She is destructive, a danger to my dog, has no respect for property and when kindly told to do or not do something, she calmly says No. In spite of my efforts to get closer to her and build a relationship, it has not been possible. If she tries to beat down a door, my daughter thinks she is not at fault - it's those who closed the door or didn't let her in. And on and on.
But yes, I have to say that becoming a grandma was a wonderful entry into unexpected delight. Our granddaughter knows she can count on us, that we will always love her, and we know that we can count on her as well.

Yes they are , I have a 2 year old granddaughter and she means
the world to me... and yes it is a pleasure to have a grandchild..
I keep my granddaughter every weekend . and it is a joy to have her .. I would love to have her more ,but im happy 2 spend the weekends with her...

The absolute most wonderful thing about my grandchildren who are boys, is that their mom takes them home in the evening. They leave me completely shattered but deliriously happy.
