Let me explain something to you. You do NOT know what "being in love" is until you have been through hell with that person. So you met this girl that you like hu? You saw her, and you think she is beautiful. Then she told you she wants to be your friend.

Well, guess what, its human nature to want what you cant have, but its not love. Its something called lust. People hear the word lust and think "no thats not me, I dont lust" because to most people the word lust makes them thing of doing dirty nasty things. Well, this isnt lust. In a way it is, but not really. Lust means that you have appetite for that person, that you desire them. And that is exactly what you feel. You feel desire for this girl. You want her. But dont confuse this for love. Even if you do get her, you date for a few months, you have sex with her, you get to know everything about each other, that is still not being in love. Maybe you love her and care about her alot at this point, but your still not in love.

You fall in love after you know EVERYTHING about the person, the good and the bad. After you know what they look like naked, until you know what they smell like after 3 days without a shower, until you get sued together, until you loose a loved one together, ect. Until you go through EVERYTHING with them, then you can say your in love.

Bottom line, you like this girl, and you want to know what her lips taste like. So, find out! Get to know her, tell her how you feel, even date if you guys want, but for pete's sake, do NOT confuse what your feeling with being in love, because one of you will get hurt.

Well for starters, if you think more about her with your brain than your hormones. If you see her as something more than a joy toy. You are attracted to her smile, laugh, intellect. Just holding hands gives you butterflies in your stomach. If she snuggles up to you on the couch watching a movie and all you think about is keeping that moment...those are some signs.
However, love cannot be one-sided. She has to reciprocate the same feelings about you. If you hold her hand, for instance, and you're thinking "wow" and she's thinking "ho-hum", then you're just spitting in the wind.
