My boyfriend of over a year said "I love you Vanessa" after we had sex. Vanessa is his ex's name. Don't know how I should have reacted but it didn't sit well with me. I've never felt jealous of her, still don't. I am just curious if thats what he really feels or if it was just a habbit because he was with her for 13 years and half asleep. She left him and their 3 kids to pusue a gay lifestyle, she now dresses like a man.

13 yrs is a long time to be with someone, since there is no chance of them getting back together-she not a threat. But he probably still have feelings for her-those feelings will be hard to let go of. He could need more time to adjust to her leaving before he can really date again.

Im gone keep it real. You want the truth. Sometimes the truth is ugly. It possible that you were a rebound. She left him, he was hurt, so he went looking for love to cover the hole in his heart. How long after he broke up with her did you 2 get together? But 13 years is a long time though. It's possible it was a mistake.
