our daughter loves to pick up my gamecube controller and sit as if shes playing the cube but we cant find any games geared specifically to two year old toddlers. we are able to find all sorts of dora the explorer and blues clues games, but those are still geared more for 3 and up. any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might not want to spend any money on another game system but I would strongly suggest getting a VTech.. They have educational games that are in characters like blues clues, dora, ect. for her age and even 9+ years old..

video games should be a no-no for toddlers. they teach a kid to look forward and punch the correct response. there is no problem solving, no alternante answers to a problem. they teach kids to be drones. older kids can get hooked on them just like a drug addiction. turn off the media and pick up books, crayons, play-dough.

did you know that video type games are not good for the brains of young children? probably why they don't have games for younger kids. one of the big reasons is that learning for kids under 5 occurs in the context of a one on one relationship with another person - optimally a nearly constantly available mommy.

Another reason they are not good is they have bad effects on attention span. They also increase aggresiveness.

in fact, those video type games are not good for the brains of older kids either.
