My GF and I are having a "rocky" time at the moment. I want to respark our relationship so I am plannign on taking her for a little mini-vacation in Feb. We live in the central Valley in California (Sacramento). And I have two choices, the ocean or the mountains.
Guys - Where would you prefer to take a GF for vacation?
Girls - Where would you rahter go for a surprise vacation?
Options - Lake Tahoe, Reno, San Fransisco, Monterey, Santa Cruz, Bodega Bay.
Any other sugestions on places would be appreciated.

Mountains..a snow covered cabin, roaring fire, hot buttered brandy, good music, what could be better?

Depends per person... I'm an ocean person... but if I lived in the ocean, I'd want to get away now in then. You guys live in a valley, so...it could go either way... but, I'd go for the ocean in a warm area. It's getting kind of cold now and will remain cold til like early summer next year. Perhaps Santa Cruz or Monterey. Or farther south along that coast line where it's warmer, somewhere.

The mountains, i have been from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean and to the Gulf of Mexico. The oceans are pleasing, yet i appreciate the mountains, with a touch flow operating down them.

I lived in Santa Cruz for 7 years, and am currently displaced, so I vote for there, actually right now, anywhere in Ca sounds good! I guess it depends on if she likes the cold, or not. It may be nice to get a hotel and spa in the cold and spend some quality time together in front of the fire.

If you live in Cali, then u probably see plenty of the ocean. Furthermore, in feb. it is going to be pretty cold, so i'd say that a mountain vacation fits the situation a little better.

I would say up in the mountains theres beautiful views plenty places for walking and when it gets cold you can both cosy up in front of a blazing fire with a cuppa coco how nice.

Vancouver? Both mountains and ocean. I would personally go for the mountains. You prolly already get enough of the ocean and sun in Cali

Why not go to Seattle? You get both Puget Sound and Mount Rainier, they don't get a whole lot of snow, and it's close enough (isn't it?). Besides, if you want to jump-start your relationship, the Space Needle is always a good place to do it. I'm only really suggesting it because Seattle is my favourite American city. (I'm Canadian.)

Honestly...all depends on your plans. Maybe you might want to consider the weather conditions, then decide where to go.
