If you are ordering the 2ohmsx2 model then your best bet would be to go with a mono amp. Wire the subs in series then parallel them down to the amp (2ohm load). Try to get an amp with a rms power rating between 500-1000rms (preferably closer to a1000).

If you are ordering the 4ohmsx2 model then go with a 2channel. Once again, wire the subs in series and the parallel them down to the amp (4ohm load). Go for an amp with a rms power rating between 500-1000 (preferably closer to a 1000) when it is bridged.

If you need wiring diagrams, check Sparky's post he has good illustrations on wiring.

As far as which would be better or sound better it is all subjective. Some people will argue one way over the other. However, in my opinion a mono amp setup is always best for subs, since that it was a mono amp was designed for - LOW FREQUENCIES and power. Most likely a mono amp will be a little cheaper as well, a 1000rms mono is almost always going to cost you less than a 1000rms 2channel.

First, you can't bridge a mono amp. You can wire the subs in parallel to get a 2 ohm load ONLY if the subs are 4 ohm and single voice coiled.

The total watts RMS of the amp must match the total watts RMS of the subs.

Go with the mono block unless you want your subs playing in stereo. I know I don't. Mono is the way to go just make sure you know what you're bridging to and that your amp can accept the impedance.

Now hook that up so they can hear you comin'
