Your body responds to what you eat and your activity. So if you do this, you will lose some weight, particularly in the first week. But as time goes on, you will lose less and less weight, as your body adjust to starvation. Your body will burn less and less calories, and learn to live on almost no food. Assuming you really are fasting, your body is also using muscles, including the heart, for protein, so your muscle mass is dropping.
This isn't a problem until you start eating again. Your body now runs on very little food. Your muscle mass is lower, which makes it harder for your body to burn calories. Your body is waiting for the next starvation, so it tries to store as much energy as possible. That means that more of what you eat gets stored as fat, and your body will make it harder to lose that belly the second time around.
It's not a very good plan for weight loss.

nope.
even if that was possible the weight would come back on due to the body starving and replenishing the fats and proteins lost by the fast.

it's lame but it is what we had shoved down our throats all these years and i did it because of health issues and i'm better now.. not a weight issue to have either.

Not a good way to "lose" weight because you're not really losing weight. You're only losing water weight, not the real weight.

no, that could probably kill you by putting you into cardiac arrest. Sounds just a 'safe' as that horse asthma medicine hollywood starlets were trying to use to lose weight.
If you do that, you will get to be buried in a size '0' dress to your own funeral though. 'sarcasm'
