have a bit of gum recession on bottom teeth, this has been checked out and i ve been told to keep an eye on it, been wearing braces for 3 years which are coming off in 3 months, can braces also cause some gum recession? I have control of oral hygene, what can I do to get this sorted, surgery. so MANY questions!

Not sure about the braces issue...but rinsing with salt water is good....Ive been doing a lot of that lately, in agony with wisdom tooth pain. Surgery tommorow! Wish me luck! Speak to your dentist about the recession sounds serious. Are you brushing from the gum line upwards? Never brush in circles or in the up and down motion...

Sure you can rinse everyday with warm salt water, it will not harm your gums.
