Depends whether the shop has applied for an extended license, but it is legal to sell alcohol 24/7 now.

24 Hour Asda-Superstores have extended licenses (my mate says). Pubs with extended license can sell you "carry-out" but you'll pay quite a bit for it and the label will be upside down, which can have a strange effect on your balance near the end of the bottle...

No, the supermarkets are bound not to sell alcohol between 10.00pm and 8.00am. Off licences have to close at 11.00pm at the latest, so, sorry, you are out of luck.

if you go to a 24hour tesco you will be able to get alcohol any time of the night or day! i once done my shopping at 2am because i hadnt been able to go during the day and i was able to buy beer and wine.

try to find some small convenience stores, one of those that sells everything. they'll probably sell to you later then 12.
