Is it OK? I recommend it! You won't have to worry about other girls trying to steal him from you. The guy I like right now is hated by practically everyone (he's rather arrogant), and the only problem with me liking him is the fact that I can't tell anyone about it. But we can keep crushes secret here and now, can't we?

why dont people like him? Do people think he is ugly? does he have a bad personality? Or are they just young minded and think hes wierd, and has coodies?

If you like him then go for it! But beware once you start showing attraction to him everyone will start to like him! Trust me it has happened to me before.
