I think the questio nwould be better phrased: "Why is it that so many people on this site feel the need to insult people of other beliefs? Because the insults go in many directions. I even see people claiming to be Christians and quoting the Bible saying insulting things about others. It makes me ashamed.
The reason people do that? Could be a low self esteem, that needs to ridicule others in order to feel better about oneself. Or it could be simply a hateful perception of the group they are attacking - they have perhaps been hurt by someone representing that group.
I know of a family who found it puzzling and tiresome to constantly hear their father running down with absolute scorn a certain group of people. He couldn't say anything about them without using the most hateful and bitter language. One day, when he wsa in his 60's, his son asked him: "Dad, why do you hate the _______ so much?" He answered: "Because they raped me!" A pent-up anger from his childhood followed him all his life, and his hatred became generalized to a whole group of people even though there was just one person involved. That is what anger that hasn't been dealt with does.
So perhaps we should listen to the anger behind some of the remarks.

Jesus was the son of God, without sin, filled with wisdom and did many miracles.Yet they offended Him, mocked Him, spit on Him, pierced Him, etc etc etc....
Matt 29:30
29 and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand and knelt in front of him and mocked him. "Hail, king of the Jews!" they said. 30 They spit on him, and took the staff and struck him on the head again and again.
Why should we feel bad? This is nothing compared to what many believers have been through in certain parts of the world.

We only pick on the ones who tout their religion to be the truth and one and only.
They usually put ALL other religions or beliefs DOWN.
Those who admit it is a conscious DECISION to believe ,we have respect for .
If you are hard-headed and judgemental of others, we will give you both barrels.
By the way ,you should stop reading your bible and take SPELLING LESSONS.

I think it is because a lot of Christians are arrogant and tell people how to live and think and what to believe and what they can and cannot do butt they themselves need to work on their sin.
this is religion ans spirituality so it is the place for discussion and even disagreement.

See this here? ~~> Y
That's a "y". It's your friend.
Also, I'd like to introduce you to my friend, "ing." Ing goes at the end of words like "offendING" and "feelING."
Seriously, love, if you want anyone to take what you have to say seriously, you're going to have to learn how to type so that we can understand you. As it is, I can't even read your question for all the eye rolling I'm doing.

I see right through it and doubt it's real. A real believer would be keeping his mouth shut with quiet anticipation right about this point in history. The questions alone seem thoroughly bogus, the antagonism is what is perceived by those in darkness as something to stimulate further responses. I'm glad there's a hell. It's certain to make you pay for everything you do.
