when that's like a skunk telling a rabbit it has bad breath? take a look around you. liberal ideals are pushed on society 24/7 through tv, hollywood, media, education, and anything that has communication over the masses. go to your local convenient stores. i see an awful lot more images of half naked women in provocative poses than i do biblical passages. turn on your tv. i see an awlot lot more vulgar talk shows, violence, profanity, gay themed sitcoms, feminist reality shows, and provocative videos, than i do biblical scriptures and hollywood movies are filled with anti american, anti christian, anti family, and anti military messages and every other leftist propaganda . and as for schools, remember that 1st grade girl who got suspended from school for praying quietly to herself? and no, i'm not saying run out and become a christian. i'm saying that you are hypocritical if you claim christians are pushy and liberals aren't.

for those of you who are hinting at the fact that anyone can change the channel or not purchase porn, it's a two way street. you also don't have to read the bible. you are right that nobody is forced to purchase porn . however, it's still out in the wide open. you can't avoid it. everywhere you look, it's thrown in your face whether you want it or not. christian symbols and biblical scriptures on the other hand are pretty obscure. and as for hollywood, almost all of it tilts to the left. but one movie ONE that potrayed jesus christ in a positive way (passion of the christ) drove liberals insane and they accused mel of "forcing his religion". how is that not hypocritical?

I agree- I am very tired of being told I push my views on others and my beliefs are wrong.
I am a Christian woman who does not need Hollywood to validate myself- nor the media ( print and television ). I live my life and let others live their lives too.
But I am also tired of Hollywood shoving their view of life on me-

I am not a liberal by any means, but you are associating many things that come from conservatives themselves to say they are liberal themed. Most of the TV violence, pornography, etc. comes from billionaire networks with Christian owners like Rupert Murdoch. I wouldn't even try to politicize that. Honestly, if it didn't sell, it wouldn't be on TV.
I don't think, however, that Christians are trying to force their beliefs. They are the ones that wanted Howard Stern off the radio. They are the ones that want our schools with religious views in science classrooms. They want medical research (like embryonic stem cells) banned for religious purposes. They come knocking to my door every Sunday. They make sure to vote in only politicians that share their faith. They want to ban gay marriage because of their religious convictions. They don't want a separation of church and state.
Fact is both sides of the coin are pushy, but you are choosing and picking on the one you don't agree with. By the tone of your voice I don't think you'd have a problem cramming censorship into people as long as it holds your voice; instead of letting what sells, sell. The hypocritical double standard is retarded.

People are generally blinded to their own agenda. For instance, Fox News and CNN represent polar opposites and extreme possitions, but a lib will say CNN is unbiased reporting and accuse Fox News of an "obvious bias." Where a conservative will do the exact opposite.
A better source is in the truth of Jesus Christ found in the Bible. When it comes down to it, that's all the propaganda I really need in my life.

i went and tried each and every thing and now i be attentive to that is incorrect and that i don't do it by way of fact that is undesirable for me and my happiness. yet now i don't choose others for the state they are in. I understand that we are anybody and christian, buddhist, in spite of is only a label you stick on your individual brow, possibly for social motives, family etc. yet in the tip would not make you any nearer to God than you would be without it. I additionally found out that to evangelise to people is pointless. people react to love no rely what the words are. that is only via cultivating the affection and well being of your self and letting it overflow to others that we make some difference in the worldwide. each and every of the sermonizing approximately morality, accepting Jesus etc. is synthetic. what's mandatory in this worldwide is real openness and help of the different. yet whether you're taking that as an thought it is going to become stupid by way of fact people initiate questioning you may desire to settle for murderers and baby molesters. What i'm attempting to declare is that the priority replace into that faith is in everybodies heads. that is this precis venture that governs us, however the worldwide isn't bounded via those techniques. they don't in superb condition. the worldwide is only too complicated and mind-blowing to in superb condition right into a e book. we'd desire to be masters of ourselves and supply up hiding from existence. Sacred texts are there to assist us, not rule us. Oh yeah sorry, i shouldn't probably be answering this by way of fact i'm not an atheist. only a 'former christian'.

Here Here!! At last a true picture of our country's slide into its own demise. Roman civilization too became corrupt and ended from such twisted values. "Woe to those who say good is bad and bad is good." says the Bible. I am sad that Christians are being silenced by the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) which should be renamed to be "Anti Christian Litigation Unit" because they will sue public organizations and others for displaying OH MY the Ten Commandments which our country is based on, or other symbols of religion. They are not "protecting" freedom but taking away our right to express our religion at appropriate times. After they win their cases, they are awarded money paid by our taxes for their awful cases against the people. The separation of church and state Thomas Jeffereson wrote about to the Danbery Baptists was to protect religious freedom and keep government from controlling the churches, not the other way around, which is exactly what is happening folks. WAKE UP CHRISTIANS!! WAKE UP PEOPLE> YOUR FREEDOMS ARE BEING THREATENED AND REDUCED!

Because our opinions cramp their lust filled lifestyle.Don't take a bone away from the dog or he'll snap your fingers off. Even though we know the bone is full of poison that dog just wants what he wants and does not think out the consequences of his thought. And we say "no Fido, I've got a better bone just listen and I'll tell you where to find it" but Fido has his mind set and now he's going to attack you, and go for the jugular. RUN or FIGHT? What do we do? How long do we care for the dog that doesn't want caring for? How long do you listen to the howling before you put it out of it's misery.
Okay I went far with that analogy but I think you get my point, wickedness would rather be left alone w/ it's own devices...

I believe in the marketplace of ideas. Many of the things you mention don't appeal to me, either. Vulgar talk shows and an increase in graphic violence on television bother me, too. But no one is making me watch them. There are hundreds of channels from which to choose, and my remote works as long as I keep batteries in it. Similarly, there are hundreds of thousands of magazines from which to choose. No one is making me buy the ones I don't like.
Same for religion. It is the natural right of every person to pursue whatever religio-philosophical path appeals to him or her, so long as its practice does not harm anyone else or interfere with another's pursuit of happiness. I don't tell anyone else what to believe, but neither will I allow another to dictate what I must believe or what I must be against.

i am an athiest liberal and fully support christian morality ie keep the 10 commandements, love your neighbor, etc. While i don't think of jesus as a lord and savior i find him a brilliant teacher. sadly i don't find many christians who practice christs teachings. they are too busy making payments on their SUVs and telling people how they should live instead of washing their feet. I am reminded of Kurt Cobain who sang "rape me my friend, rape me again" a 20th century version of turn the other cheek yet most christians would probably view him as a dirty drug addict. no offense but where does all your finger pointing get you?

Legislating religious doctrine makes it impossible for professed atheists to hold public office in several states. How many Christians are prohibited from the same because of their Christianity?
Stop lying. Christianity has done more to hold back government than any "liberal" you could come up with.
Oh, and.... OH MY GOSH, the entertainment industry has figured out that people find contoversy more entertaining than Biblical scripture? I am SHOCKED!

This is so funny because it is actually liberals who have been taking away Christian practices. Forcing atheist propoganda in the schools such as science. Forbidding the humane execution of witches etc. Just compare Christian practices in 1400 with Christian practices today and you will see how far liberals have gone in forbidding Christian's following our faith.
