The idea goes against everything logical really to Christians or even some semi-Christians.
Although, I respect people who believe what they believe no matter what that is.
I respect them more than Christians who tell people they're going to hell if they don't believe exactly the way they do.
After all, it's hard to believe in someone you can't see or hear in the way we're used to hearing and seeing. So, I can't fault for people for having questions. The only thing I have to say is for people to have an open mind and be curious. Read The Bible and decide for yourself. Some of the people that represent Christianity put it to shame....it's sad but true.
So athiests: if you're not going to believe in God, don't do it 'cos Christians drive you crazy (some of them drive me crazy too and I'm a believer)...read The Bible...especially any or all of the first 4 New Testament books, and decide that way. Just a suggestion.
PS--Christians are not represented by the Republican party and they never have been. Don't let anyone tell you they do...it's the biggest lie out there.
And anyone who quotes Ann Coulter for any serious purpose is brainwashed.

A Christian could not accept the possibility of God not existing. One could toy with hypotheticals, but even they would eventually conclude the reality of God, either by fault or design. Let's just say we "evolved" from those little single cell thingies that started life a couple of billion years ago or so. That spark, that instant that they started changing would be a creator, a god...the giver of life.
Say we're just an experiment of a highly advanced, almost omnipotent civilization that travels the galaxies doing biological experiments. They to would be creators of life, hence a god to those they made. To the creation, those space travelers would be all powerful, since they would have no idea that the creators were just life forms themselves, albeit much more advanced.
Even if you do not accept the existence of God the Almighty, something is a god to you: the sun, the wind, the very essence of life itself.

I am a Christian and have no problem saying, Yes, it is very possible. Do not fear others beliefs. They are only that..Beliefs. If they were facts we would call them that.

What have I lost if He doesn't exist? Nothing. I'm happier now then ever before. I do not fear death. I live by a moral code. I'm even happy to pay more taxes. I find comfort when tragedy strikes and find peace and understanding when I read the bible.

You can stay on your side of the fence if you want. I just find the grass a little greener on my side of it.

Why is it that Atheists cannot see the possibility that he does exist?

Well, let me give you my story. I used to believe that it was impossible for God to exist. It was my belief that nothing could be infinite. But one day in Science class, we were discussing the Universe. According to scientists, it was just there. There was nothing before, there will be nothing after it. It is everything, it is nothing. It is infinite, and goes on forever. Nothing exists outside of it, because there is no outside of it. Then, I got to thinking. If scientists say there can be infinite, then there may be. So, God could be there. If infinite is possible, God is possible. Because nothing has to have been there before Him. So, my point is, I think there has to be. Otherwise, Earth wouldn't exist. The Earth happening isn't random. That is just impossible. Dust wouldn't just settle and make Earth, it needed help. So, God created Earth. Then He set for the chain of reactions causing germs. Then He made Evolution, and 2 billion years later, we come. You decide if He is existant or not.

The theory of abiogenesis states that life can be generated from non-living matter. This has yet to be proven although many, many attempts have been made, which leaves the question of how life came to be. If life cannot be created from non-living matter then would that not mean that some form of God exists. Science certainly is leaning towards God's existence.

I think the evidence is overwhelming that God exists.
I have never seen evidence to prove nothingness logically.

So for every action there is a reaction and God is this originator of all actions to this day.

It would go against the Laws of Physics to claim otherwise, so I say it is NOT possible.

that's a very interesting question. i don't believe that GOD doesn't exist but to say that the christian ideal of GOD is the one and only possible entity is pretty naive. No one has pr oven or disproved the existence of GOD so he/she could be anything. I believe that we are GOD and GOD is us and yes i do exist.

No it is not possible that God doesn't exist. Telling a Christian that God doesn't exist is as ridiculous as telling someone that their mom or someone they have a personal relationship with is not real.

IF you're asking Christians specifically, the answer to your question is no. Its not possible that God does not exist.

Thanks for asking.

Thanks for spelling God with a capital letter, as it should be in proper English language.

Oh, if you ask another group or audience, they may have their own ideas, but thats their business.

I don't think so, so a web search on fulfilled bible prophecy note the dates that things were propheised and how many years later that they were fulfilled then try to figure out the chances of these things happening with 100% accuracy, I'm sure that some of the sites will figure this out for you.
