NO they are children who have a seroius infestation problem that can not only be passed on to many others but more important head lice effect a persons health and well being. Lice feed of the scalp drawing blood and putting their eggs down which reproduces hundreds of new lice time after time. Not only do they make the scalp itch/sore it can cause INFECTION which is dangrouse to the child. Any reponsible parent has to be fully responsiblitliy for their childs welfare lice are not for life or christmas they are vermin.

I dont think so, I believe the head lice can cause other problems if not taken care of, and I am not quite sure why a child would want to keep the head lice. It's an uncomfortable situation.

Um, No!!!
Lice can infest anything that has a nap (i.e. pillows, carpet, bedding, etc.) It can also infest other children. As a matter of fact, most school systems check for lice every year. If they find lice on your children's heads, they will required to remove the children from school until the problem is taken care of.
If I were you I would spend some time investigating where the lice is coming from. My stepdaughter's oldest sister (on her father's side) had head lice and would not take care of it (neither would her father). We ended up having to de-louse our children and our house and our animals about once a month for about a year and a half until we finally reported it to the oldest child's school. when she was pulled out of school, it was amazing how fast and permanent the problem was handled.

Are you for real ??? No they shouldn't - they are lice for gods sake - feeding off the blood in your kids heads ! If thats not bad enough think of the poor kids itching 24/7 not to mention the trauma caused to others kids who keep getting head lice from kids with lazy parents who dont treat the problem.

Why? Head lice are parasites, you wouldn't want to keep them. Get them a pet, they can't discuss having head lice with other kids, their friends would quickly disappear.

Absolutely not. It is communicable, which means that it can be spread from person to person. Other people don't have the choice whether or not to get it.
A person under eighteen does not have the legal right to make their own health decisions. A parent or legal guardian can override their decisions until they are 18 years of age.
If a disease or health issue can be passed to someone else and that person is unaware or cannot take precautions, it should not be up to the person with the issue to choose whether or not to treat it.

What kind of a question is this????? obviously dumb !!
Children should have the choice to keep their hair, since shaving is not necessary to cure a lice infestation.

Well, actually, they are! Schools aren't allowed to tell parents that their children have headlice. The children are not allowed to be removed from the class. So they keep their pests and your kids are infected and have to endure all the wetcombing and the medicated shampoos!

No - they (the lice) must be eradicated as soon as possible. Why would you consider giving choice for such a thing?
