Something a little more definite? Not something lame like 'there will be great wars" or other lines any half wit could make up.

There are so many that I like, it's hard to choose, so I'll specifically relate the following two:

# 1 - CYRUS & THE OVERTHROW OF BABYLON - Isaiah 44:26 - 45:4 - written 200 years before it was fullfilled. This prophesy showed how Babylon would be overthrown (diverting of the Euphrates river and gates left open) and which leader would play the most prominent role (Cyrus the Mede).

# 2 - ALEXANDER THE GREAT & THE WORLD POWER OF GREECE - Daniel 8:5-8 - This meaning of this prophesy is explained to Daniel in verses 20-25 of that same chapter. Interestingly it says this king would come swiftly but the horn would be broken suddenly. Alexander the Great and his army moved extraordinarily quickly across the land, conquering as they marched, but then he died suddenly at only 32 years of age. Then it says that four horns that came up in its place, but these did not havve the same power as A the G did. This was fullfilled in that after Alexander's death, his four generals split up the conquered land into 4 parts, each ruled by one of these men, but they didn't last long, nor were they as strong as the original Greek power.

Oh, there are so many more prophesies which have been fullfilled, and are in the process of being fullfilled. It's really exciting! Do some research on the matter. It will really impress upon you the greatness of the universal sovereign of the universe, Jehovah God and assure you that all of his promises WILL come true!

Knowledge has been increased greatly in the past 100 years.
This verse was written several thousand years ago.
Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

We are preaching the gospel to the world now like we never could before.
Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

God called homosexuality an abomination. It now stands in many places behind the altar (the most holy place) and preaches.
Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

There are many more prophecies being fulfilled faster than anytime in history.

There will be wars and rumours of wars...just kidding.
A great beast with seven heads and ten horns and a little horn who will get uppity. The great whore of babylon will ride the beasts back.
The great beast is Dick Cheney and the neocons, the horns being speakers, and the little one, or 'junior' one is of course Dubya. The whore is the churches which the neocons have usurped. Whore because they are selling themselves for favours. Where will it all end? It will end in their defeat, if not, it will end where the neocons think that the prophecy should end. Be afraid, be very afraid.
How different is it to see a fulfilling of a prophecy by circumstances, or, instead forcing the fulfillment of a prophecy because that is just the kinda 'guy' you are?

Well , after speaking about wars, earthquakes, famine, and pestilence ( disease like bird or spanish flu ) , Jesus made this warning at Luke 21; 20 " Furthermore, when u see Jesrusalem surrounded by encamped armies, then know that the devastating of her has drawn near. Then let those in Judea begin fleeing to the mountains, and let those in the midst of her withdraw. "

In 66 c.e. Josephus said that Roman armies attacked the temple walls but then backed off. They came back in 70 c.e. , enclosed the city with wooden stakes, and cut off supplies into the city. This was during a Passover time too. Over 1 million Jews lost their lives. The Christians that obeyed this prophecy , by escaping to Perea, saved their own lives.

Jesus prophesied about many will come in his name. So, how many religions do you think is now carrying his name "Jesus"? Then he also said "And will say that he is the Christ" is he not called Christ today? He still said "And say the End is near." Are these religions not talking and speculating about it now specially at the turn of the millenium?
Jesus also mentioned about "You will hear of wars and rumors of of wars...." So, what do you think have been happening in the world now, including unexplainable occurences of sudden natural calamities in many parts of the world. Where have you been? More are still happening. Just observed and take extra care you may be a victim..... about great wars..isn't it great to wonder and find that powerful nations such as US and UK are having so much headaches containing a small but determined bunch of terrorists? I do not think it is a lame reply. Jesus said that 2500 years or so before.

Isaiah 40:3 - "A voice of one calling: 'In the desert prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God.' "

This was a prophesy of the coming of John the Baptist, a man who told the world to prepare for Christ's arrival.

Christ told his disciples that the temple would be destroyed to where one stone would not be left upon another, and approximately 60 years later it was. Also, prophecy foretold that the nation of Israel would be dispersed throughout the world, and in the last days Israel would return to their homeland. Israel was conquered and taken away into captivity and in 1948, Israel began returning to their land.
