I don't care if he was purple, blue, green or pink.
Wouldn't matter to me. His message and example is what matters.
Given his geographic location and the lineage, one would have to say his skin tone was more probably a "tan" color common in the middle east. However, as I said, it really doesn't matter.

maybe
the bible did say he had brown (bronze) skin and woolly hair. so he could be black or arab.
There is a essay that shows that Jesus might at least have some African ancestors
I don't think it would be a problem if it turns out Jesus was black but I am sure it would piss off a lot of people that use the bible to push there racist anti-semantic views if it turns out that Jesus was a Black Arabic Jew.

If he lived at all, his skin was probably bronze resembling that of modern-day persons of Middle Eastern descent. And you're right, his skin color would have little bearing on his message--though, had he been black or brown, I'd have expected him to take a hard line against slavery. Then again, he was a Jew yet didn't take a hard line, even though his people, in their holy book, had been slaves once upon a time.

I am sure he had a tan just like you see now from the people in the middle east remember they spent a lot of time outside and this was pre sun block days they did cover their skin with cloth but I am sure it was hot.

He was Hebrew, so in order not to stand out, He probably looked like every other Jewish man of the time. It really doesn't matter if He was black, brown, blue, or green, since He came to bring salvation to all people.

Jesus Christ was a Jew. Therefore He was neither white nor black. He is also the Savior of the world!

It wouldn't be a problem, but Jesus was a Jew. More a middle-eastern looking man.

No. it would not be a problem if he was black, but I feel that he had more of a Middle-Eastern look because of where he was born.
