I don't know how you were brought up, but maybe you wern't really close with your dad growing up. I have noticed that girls who don't have a close relationship with a man in their lives always cling and hold on to boyfriends. I think you need to give yourself more credit and be more confident. You must remember that you shouldn't put so much effort into a guy who wont' do the same for you. But there is really nothing wrong with being clingy if the guy is clingy back. Go from there, just try to remember that there are tons of guys out in the world so when you meet them and start dating, take is slow so you can make sure you will get everything you want out of the relationship. Good question. Maybe you just need to start getting to know yourself first. Most of the time, the reason why someone would "cling', especially so early is due to insecurities about themselves. Which is not a good thing. Get to know you, spend time with you, loving you and pampering yourself first before jumping into another relationship. That should solve the problem.

I don't know but guys usually don't like that. I have a problem of falling for a guy too soon, but I try really hard to not be clingy. Maybe you are just insecure with yourself and feel like you need to have a guy to feel good? If that is true you need to work on yourself, and be confident. When you are you won't need to cling to guys so much.

I do it too.
- I have heard from a lot of people that the reason behind clinging early on is due to the fact that we long to be with someone and care for someone as much as we would like to be cared and longed for.

So people don't like that and some do. -
We just have to weed through all the ones that don't until we find the one that does.

Good luck

Because you are afraid to be alone, and don't feel good about yourself unless you are in a relationship.

Believe me, I go through the same thing, I know just how it is. Cling to God instead, so that you don't let your heart keep getting broken. Change the pattern now.

Insecurity plain & simple. You may have to just force yourself to hold back something until it becomes second nature. It can be very harmful to put too much of yourself into a possible relationship too early.

Hoping that they are the right guy. Maybe you have been through a lot and when you see something new you just can't help yourself.
