The key is unity, not uniformity. Religion is an individual person's personal relationship with God. With that definition, we could have over 6 billion "religions" on the planet. We will eventually all grow to unity in our religious beliefs because truth is truth and it becomes evident to one who truly seeks it. So eventually everyone will know the truth about God and we will have unity in our religous beliefs. However, those beliefs will be colored by cultural and sociological differences so there will be no uniformity except perhaps in relatively small localized instances.
What we will be giving up by growing into unity is strife and contention in the world which will be drastically and dramatically reduced. What we will gain is increasing peace and spiritual growth.

The funny thing with religion is that it is so culturally based, this fact would be the down fall of your idea. I think also within a generation society would break this unified religion into many sects and then since is would be more personal, the different interpretations would result in more fighting. Humans are moderates, and fundamentalists and everything in between. if you take that away, then more problems arise. Plus being culturally different, we need the perameters that religion sets for us on a case by case basis,

We need religion. At the end of the world, we wont need religion becuase we will be in God's presence. But right now, were not. And until we are we need a religion to lead us to him.
to answer your question it would tear the world appart if we all beleived "all religions are equal, they all worship the same God"
They DONT all worship the same God. And it important that everyone understands that, because the antichrist will try to make us beleive that.

Not to sound radical or anything, but we should have no religions which diviids humans through beliefs. We should all relize that all religions are created by people in order to explain the unexplainable through illogical superstitions. What your saying is convert everyone to what you believe in or a religion accepted by all? People say the things you say but in a conquering, forceful manner.

Yeah we should and we will!! Everyone will believe in Islam sooner or later. The best advantage is this; everyone will understand that being a muslim is the greatest gift from God and everyone will understand each other perfectly so there wont be any fight at all! I hope i can see that day.
God bless you.

No. Diversity is good. If we all believed the same thing than everyone woudl be the same, and with that there is no growth. Religions are all about limitiation.

Religion, nah.
We all should be believers in Jesus Christ. We should obey His commandments and walk in faith. That would make the world a better place.

We should all be of the same non-religion. There are no such things as gods.
