Does Oklahoma have a plan to help pay funeral expenses when the fammily can't pay?

No. The best you can hope for is the Social Security one time death benefit, I believe it's $255.

I am also in Oklahoma, and I don't think there are any agencies that assist with funeral costs. However, you can cut your costs by purchasing a coffin direct from the manufacturer instead of through a funeral home.

Not that I've heard about yet (I live in Oklahoma, too). We just had a basic funeral and the cost was $4400.
