Okay, WHAT TO DO has been asked a million times here! But my problem is this.

Yesterday, my ex-GF's Gran unfortunately died. It was not unexpected however. She lived with her Grand-daughter and her grand-daughter's boyfriend, Phil.

Obviously, everyone in the family is upset at the loss. When she was alive, she was able to put Phil in his place and stop him being the a**hole he naturally is. No she is no longer.

Now he insist that the rest of the family do not tell Jane (my ex) and told her sister Emma that if she told Jane, her Gran would haunt her for the rest of her life.

In the past, he has been to prison because he beat up his ex-wife, and his young son (apparently put him in hospital). A few years ago he married Jane's other sister, who is mentally slow and beat her up. She is now deaf in one ear. For some reason, their other sister decided to have a baby with this turd.

Obviously I would love to put this slimebag in hospital but I respect the fact that the family are grieving and will not cause them any further hassle. However, he cannot be allowed to continue in this manner.

Also, he has a habbit of running when ex's have had babies and when drunk one night, he told someone that he is not allowed to be near children, hence I suspect he is a nonce. If anyone were to contact me privatly, the freedom of information act would apply when asking for his details......

Sorry forgot to mention this bit. Jane knows because Emma told her. But Emma only told her because she saw her before their Mum. Their Mum wanted to tell Jane personally.

Emma DID tell Jane. Phil didn't realise she had already when he told her that.

I am there for her. I just wish I could do more as I feel usless. I never met her Gran but all this is having quite an affect on me.

I'm pretty sure the sex offenders register is only available to view by those privy to such knowledge (ie it is marked as CONFIDENTIAL) so the police will not release such information. Also, depending on the offence you can be on it from 6 months to life - his time on there may be spent

How is it none of my business? We have a baby together and are in the process of working things out for the better. He is a looser and she realises this already, and has done for time.

I'm not looking for excuses but I want to be sure that I am going to get a result before I act, even if we have to keep on trying.

Can you not contact your local police and enquire as to whether he is on the sex offenders register. Then call social services and tell them you fear a child and a woman are at risk - neither will disclose to him where the info came from. If you even suspect domestic violence then call the police out - they WILL respond and it will be recorded. If you don't tell anyone in the family - IE any of the sisters - they cannot be at risk of slipping up and telling him. By doing things like this he will either be revealed for what he is or he will get so fed up he will run. In the meantime make sure you and your GF are there for the sisters as I'm sure they will need you. Please don't just leave it - this Pratt will not stop. If in doubt call the police domestic violence team or your local council welfare section for advice. I wish you and the family well and I hope this tosser rots in hell xxx

You probably cant view the register personally but they HAVE to tell you if you make an enquiry - it will also alert them as to where this man is and what he's up to. You seem to find excuses for not doint things - hun if you want things done then you HAVE to make some noise so to speak and get noticed - its the only way x

If this bloke has any contact with your child then you know what you have to do - Social Services and the Police. Sounds like he can be extremely nasty and I am sure that your ex-GF would be somewhat defenceless if he can calling. She is not likely to get back up from her sisters either from the sound of it.

Sounds like the start of a long and worrying time unless you are able to get some action taken to get an injunction against him visiting your ex and your child.

wow.. yeah u did win the longest question award, and all the added info to go with.. lol

i think it maybe affecting u because u still have the urge to protect ur ex.. and that is what u should do, protect her, look after her, and be there for when the s**t really does hit the fan.

U sound like a really decent person, and u should embrace that and use it to the best of ur ability.

as for "phil" he will get his turn, maybe grandma will haunt him, and give him what he deserves!

What the hell are this family thinking of? They don't sound capable of anything if they are allowing this low-life rule the roost.
You really need to contact social services as well, as he should not be in society at all, let alone near children.

it's really none of your business, she's your ex.....she'll see him as the loser he really is when his true colours show...but if i were you i would stay well away from it...unless you want unnecessary hassle from him
