This can be calculated logically.

The Earth's surface is 510,300,000 km^2 of which 149,600,000 km^2 is land mass.

The UN estimated that in 2000 the world's population was increasing by 1.14% per annum.

Using a spreadsheet and the starting value of 6.7 billion (the current estimate of the world's population), a 1.14% per annum increase means the after:

884 years from now (the year 2890)

the population will be 150,650,000,000,000 which gives a population density of 1.007 people per sq. meter.

Reliable people reckon the population wikk peak at 9bikkion by 2050, so the answer to your question is never. The romans were asking the same question 2000 years ago. Population worry has been put ino our heads. The whole of the present population will fit shoulder to shoulder on the Isle of Wight. See BEarthright.

of course the square meterage of the earth's surface is under direct scrutiny as it is difficult to determine if polar ice caps should be counted or not, but as estimated at the current growth rate with exponential gains, probably abou 1,342 years 7 months 11 days 9 hours 8 minutes and 51 seconds 50....49.....48.....47....

That is not the question. what number will the population reach before we start exterminating each other. I have seen some productions that it is about 10 billion. At that point we will be short on nearly everything and start killing maybe 3 to 4 billion.

A line on a graph will never reach the sky. Long before that, we wouldn't be able to produce enough food.
