Well done to you!
You're gonna start to look and feel younger and not smell like an old ashtray anymore. Keep it up!

I tried to quit for years, and always came up with an excuse to have a smoke here and there. I finally decided there was no excuse, no occasion, no reason to have a cig. I did that 5 months ago. It was not as bad as I thought. The first three days are the hardest and you're past that now. Keep it up. You'll feel much better after passing up a smoke than you will after you've had one.

Well done, it can only keep getting easier for you, 3 days leads to 4 and so on, and just think, that everyday that goes by, keep saying to yourself "If I smoke now, the last few days will have been for nothing" hopefully that will encourage you to continue.

Now I'm going to be gross, if you don't smoke you won't smell. Just think about smoke smelling clothes, hair, house, etc etc. That's enough to put someone off smoking on its own. Oh, forgot bad breath. Yuk.

Continue doing a good job.

All the best.

Go for it within the next 48hrs your taste-buds will have recovered, your clothes and hair wont smell like an ashtray any longer. Think of all the money your saving - buy a savings tin that needs a tin opener - put your ciggie money in it and on Jan 1st open it and have a splurge at the sales. I gave up three years ago next week . Do it for you because you deserve it. Good luck x

That is great to hear!
Your body is already on its way to reversing the damage that smoking has caused!
At the two week mark, treat yourself with the money you would have used to buy cigarettes for one week.
Then put a jar on the fridge, or somewhere you can see it every day. Every week, deposit the money you would have used to buy cigarettes in that jar, and save up for something you've always wanted to do or buy but couldn't. (Or set up a savings account, but the jar serves as a reminder of your will power)
Good luck and keep going!

Well done you! I always think smokers are the most selfish people on the face of the earth. When I find one who wants so clearly to give up, I'd love to sock the big tobacco companies in the jaw. They're so eager to hook their claws into you, but no help at all when you want to leave. If they were the mafia, they'd've been arrested by now the misery they've caused. I'd love to give you a big hug. I hope you can stick to it. Keep smiling and keep breathing clean, fresh air. Love and hugs. XX

Major congratulations!!!! I quit smoking about forty days ago and I feel great. I was sitting around regretting that I had started again after three years, and decided to quit again. I don't regret it and realized that I would never regret it again. I can wake up every day grateful that I quit, and I could never say that about starting in again. I have replaced the cigarettes with exercise so I don't gain weight.

My social studies teacher back in high school put away money for each pack of cigs he WOULD HAVE bought each day as if he spent it on cigs. By the end of the school year he bought himself a week long vacation in Europe!! Start putting that money away and keep occupied with planning that vaction!!!! WOOHOO!!!

By the way... GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!
