Okay, so I have a friend who's in college. I'm a Junior in High School. His name is Trevor and he's studying to become a history teacher. Anyway, he's almost done with one of his half year classes and the final project is to go into a high school with a real teacher for 3 months and learn how to teach as a student teacher. It just so happens that he's interning with my history teacher- he he teaches us everday and gives us test and things. Me, my friends, and him hang out a lot, well we always have. The other day, he asked me out to a party he was going to as his girlfriend. I like him and he's really cute- so I said yes. I went to school today and realized that like, he's practically MY TEACHER. I don't even know if this is legal. I guess he's not REALLY my "teacher" or whatever. I just don't know...do you think this relationship would be acceptable? I mean, I DID know him before his job and stuff....?

Unfortunately No. Because he is studying to be a teacher and is interning in your class your relationship has gone from social to a teacher-student relationship. I'm guessing he's also over 18 and your not. I know in my state its illegal to have a relationship with a minor without parent consent. If you two are having a relationship and the school board finds out than he can actually lose his teaching credentials.

I would check with him on the legal stuff, but I think you should wait till hes out of your class and school.

I understand that you knew him before he was your "teacher" but now you must be a freind and hold off this relationship. Other people will not be so open or accepting of this relationship and Trevor might get into a lot of trouble and even lose his job with little hope of a new one. You can continue to talk and do some stuff with him but don't get into a situation that others will question. After high school feel free to pursue this relationship and let it go where it will take both of you. It's going to be hard but good luck.

hey we live in the same area! to answer your question i dont think it is legal since he has to be 21+ and you have 2 b 16 or 17 to b a junior. some might find look down on that also because from my experience students teachers replace your regular teacher for a month so he will be your teacher. or maybe because the student teachers ive seen are old and it makes me find your situation strange. any way hope i was able to help

He could possibly get in trouble for dating an underage student of his...I presume you are under 18 and he is over 18...
And the school may have a policy of teachers not dating students
even if they are 18 yrs. of age...
Of course , if you do not have sex with him , the underage part would not be a problem...I presume however you plan on having sex with him...

um....this one is hard. um...i would say its ok because he knew you before all this happened, he could always transfer to another school. He will probably make people mad my dating you and there will seem like there is "special treatment" with you. If you two really like eachother, then stay with him. But i don't know if its right that he is kinda your teacher. How long is he gonna be the student teacher? Could you two wait until he is done there?

That sounds like a scary proposition. It may not be legal - it sounds like he is alot older. Make him find out what the school's policy is - technically he's not a "teacher" and shouldn't be held to the same guidelines but you never know. Good luck to you.

Ever when you consider that i replace into little and til at present time i've got consistently stated as my mum "Mummy" and my dad "Daddy". only by way of fact they under no circumstances spoke back to "mum"/"dad". and that's in many cases caught, i think. comparable with my siblings, too. I swear each and every time my mom calls me at paintings, and that i answer asserting "hi, mummy", i'm getting the main strangest seems from my paintings colleagues. They consistently discover that hilarious and in many cases take the mic. and that i will rather see why that is humorous lol yet, that is under no circumstances replaced, and that i doubt it is going to. parents will consistently be Mummy and Daddy. And particularly by way of fact they gained't respond to the rest from their infants! : )

Sounds kinda uncomfortable......it should be more so on his part than yours. I am surprised a school administrator has not noticed or said anything. If you value his friendship, I saw keep your interaction at school minimal, but ultimately, it is going to come out and possibly get him in some major trouble.

Good question Summer! How old is he? And if he is 21 or older and you are still a minor, than it will be a problem. It could ruin his career! Now if you are 18 and he is 18-21 and you see him while you both are on your own time then I don't see it as a problem. But seeing him while he is on the job will not look good for him. I THINK!!!!!!!!!!!

If he wants to become a teacher he can't date pupils, simple. Wait until he's not teaching in your school or it could ruin his career before it's even started.
