The fishing season in Australia for blue marlin is January to May-June. Notable regions to fish for blue marlin in Australia are the Cairns region, southern Queensland from Fraser Island to the Gold Coast, Port stephens and Sydney, the New South Wales south coast region (where the Australian record was caught), Rottnest Island off Perth, Exmouth and Broome in the northwest of western australia.

In the northeast coast, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, etc., usually in the last summer months. You need to go out to the Canyons, like the Hudson Canyon, about 90 miles from shore. There are that many of them, once in a while you could catch one, or a smaller white marlin. It's a rare catch, however, and fishermen usually pick them up while tuna fishing.

I guess in the spring certain locations my uncles go out at San Diego, ca and go out and south to Mexico territory
How ever I landed one that got away in the Keys.
