I hardly think that is true. My ex fiance's ex wife (could you follow that) she only took a bath once a week...yuck! She had long hair and I tell you if you saw her on the 6th day...well it was greasy and gross.

Get this her job was...she was a check out clerk at a super market. She isn't the person I would want to handle my food!

Yeah I think I have heard that, don't know if it is true though. I do know that washing our hair too regularly strips the hair of its natural oils. Never tried it though...

It would probably start to stink after 2 weeks, it definetly not going to start cleaning itself.

I doubt that! I did read that one can wash too many times and it can cause hair loss because you take away the oil on the scalp.

It's more like 12 weeks, When you wash your hair you strip it of its natural oils, so you produce more. If you stop washing it, you stop stripping it so eventually you stop producing more.
I can't imagine how bad it would be to leave your hair this long though, imagine the smell eewwwww
