Here are a few tricks to help you be more comfortable. Gargeling with warm salt water two times a day (1 tbl. per 8oz.), very sootheing. Taking aspirin with food (antiflammatory and helps pain); using a vaporizer at night because the air is dry if you run a heater; chicken soup (no joke! the spices help open up your sinuses), drinking lots of water (hot tea too) keeps the mucous thin and will not stick to the back of your throat with the bacteria that's in it.
