THIS QUESTION ROCKS!

Awesome question.

I think that you understand salvation really well, but there are some aspects to consider in this case:

1. Lucifer was and is angelic (however fallen now). Angels are not offered salvation as humans are. Jesus (after His death) decended to Tarturus (tartArus??) to declare victory to the fallen angels (I happen to think they are the fallen angels from Genesis 6 -"sons of God"). He didn't offer them salvation through the cross. There are a lot of theories about why this is, but I will share mine (as it is my favorite). The angels have seen God in His full glory, disclosed to them fully since their creation. If God's glory was not enough to keep them in Heaven, then the glory of Christ's resurrection is not enough either.

2. Matthew 12.31 talks about the unforgivable sin of blaspheming the Holy Spirit. If someone does, then they will no longer be able to enter Heaven. (But what if they accepted Christ!??!) Good question. They won't. The blaspheming of the Holy Spirit results in man turning away fromt he Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit from the man. He no longer desires the conviction of the Spirit, nor will the Spirit grant it. To the point at hand: Satan said he would rise up and be like God. That was blasphemy - of all three parts of the trinity. Satan blasphemed the Holy Spirit and can be given no forgiveness because of that.

I hope that clarified a little. Again, freakin amazing question.

No, and the reason is not because God is mean, but repentance is A Gift of God, and because satan having lived in Heaven and knew God the Father, God The Son [Jesus Christ] and God The Holy Spirit there is nothing God could show Him he did not understand, plus the power to do what is good is in God alone when He satan gave up on God he gave up any ability to repent, He as it were pulled the plug on the life line, by the way In Rev 20 it talks about satans DEATH, you see the punishMENT is forever NOT the punishing, in fact that word is NOT in the bible, the bible is a great study tool, free bible lessons www.itiswritten.com God bless, questions www.bibleinfo.com also EMAIL not messanger me wgr88@yahoo.com

Theoretically, yes. Already, Lucifer has rejected his Creator by claiming to be co-equal. This is why he was tossed out in the first place. Satan knows scripture better than any man, but he has rejected it. Knowing Jesus' teachings to be a threat to his will, Satan tried to get Jesus to reject his Father before his three-year ministry, but he didn't succeed. It is DOUBTFUL that Satan would have a change of heart or character and go full circle.

According to most religious "authorities" the answer is no. And you have to wonder how a bright guy like Satan, who knew the score, would get into that kind of mess. It doesn't make a lick of sense.

On the other hand, if it's any consolation, the rev who attended on him swears that mass-murdering, necrophiliac cannibal Jeffery Dahmer found Jesus some time before another inmate turned his lights out. So according to that thinking, he's right up there with whomever of those boys he ate found Jesus before THEY were killed.

People say Revelation is not in chronological order. That it
doesn't happen one thing right after the other like it's written.
And they try to say that things in the 10th chapter will happen
before things in the 6th chapter. Some try to say it all happened
already in 70 AD.
I think they're FULL of it!
As far as I can see, Satan is still in heaven. And it won't be until
the worldwide disaster, (Isaiah 24, 6th seal in Rev),some think will occur in 2012, that Michael will kick the evil beings out of
heaven, and they will come to Earth with a vengeance!

I don't believe so. Satan or Lucifer (his real name) is a fallen angel. Christ came to earth as truly God and truly man to be the one and only mediator between God and man. To fix the separation that occurred when Adam and Eve disobeyed God. Christ did not come as mediator between God and the angels therefore I would say no.

Now if God so chooses to make some kind of way so that the fallen angels too could be redeemed, I would assume that even Lucifer could be accepted again, but that's just not the case as when know it to be. Especially since his destruction is already prophesied.

Satan doesn't have a mind to want to accept Jesus Christ. Satan basically damned himself. So, no, He can't enter into heaven.

In James we are told that the devils do believe and they tremble. Ok that's different than excepting Christ as Savior and Lord. My own thoughts on the matter are that because he was created pure with no thought of sin in him, and that he allow pride and ambition to enter him, that he has no forgiveness now or ever. If any being had perfect knowledge of God, I think Moses is about as close as any man has ever gotten to that, and turned away that would be unforgivable. I see Satan as not being the son of perdition but perdition it's self... Jim

You call yourself a religious Baptist, but doesn't Scripture itself, in Genesis say that God chose the Jews to follow his laws when he made the covenant of the pieces with Abraham? Doesn't Exodus describe the unique revelation at Sinai, without Jews would not be Jews and Christians could not be Christians? Jews didn't choose themselves. God did. Ask your pastor. He'll confirm it. If anyone has ever been the instrument of Satan on earth, it has been Hitler. Who judges chosenness, God or Satan? Your whole premise is wrong.

good one... probably not, seeing as god is pretty mean and unforgiving, as seen by me from reading the bible. i think that god would have just gotten rid of him because people liked him more. i dont know if you've heard the story, but lucifer was an artist. he was the piper and the favorite of all the angels. he produced melodies that were pleasing to all. god really didnt have anything like that to lean on, so he made up some story to justify kicking him out of heaven because he was afraid that lucifer would take over.

i never really believed in god, but if it was true i think it would be this. im not sure why i even have an opinion on this.
