How far should one consider it safe to go on Cyberspace "dating"?

A friend invited me to join LoveHappens. So i want to meet people, not necessarily take it any further.

Its okay to meet people, you just have to make sure your meeting people on your terms and not theirs.
If they want to meet, you pick the place and make it public.
You need more than just an email address, you need cell, home, job number, if their really serious, and not on something sneaky, underhanded or saddistic.
Alot of sick people in the world, unfortunately.
So just look out for you. FIRST.
