Leaves turn color when they die, which happens during the autumn season. People also change (in many ways) when we die. It's just not so aesthetically pleasing. More like a shriveling, soupy hosta leaf than a crimson maple.

Actually, most people do get slightly more pale in the fall and winter than they are in the summer. This allows us protection from ultraviolet radiation in the summer and easier vitamin D production in the winter.

cuz we don't have chlorophyl in us and our skin doesn't change so much depending on the sun. I mean lighter people tan or get pale but we aren't as sensitive as leaves
