If you reference the Bible that is not evidence. It is a completely unsubstantiated book. Sure the places in it exist, but there is no proof of any of the events. So what makes you so sure of your religion being absolute truth?
This is in reference to that hard-headed question.
If you follow a belief strictly on hearsay and wishful thinking, then who is the hard-headed one?

I am a christian. I love God, so my first reaction is to argue with you about what point you're trying to make. If you've ever read the bible or tried to understand what is being said you would KNOW that the bible is real. I know in my heart and my soul that the bible is real. Jesus is real. He is the truth, the way and the light. He is the only way to get into heaven. If you would like to do some homework in the bible and find out for yourself how true it is look up:
Lot's wife: Genesis 19:26--pillar of salt.
Jesus' death: Matthew 27:32-50
Jesus' ressurection: Matthew 28:1-8
Jesus' return:Thessalonians 4:13-18 and Thessalonians 5:1-11
If you still don't believe that you've found enough evidence to believe that the bible is real.. Try him. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Us christians live by this saying:
"The Lord is my helper, and i will fear not what man can do unto me"
Today if you will hear his voice, harden not your heart.
Accept Jesus christ and you will be saved!!! Try him. What have you got to lose??

I am not really religious but I must correct you on one part. The bible is a substantiated book. Almost every account told in the good book is backed by other writings of the same stories. Not only is it recorded in other historical writing but also backed up by hieroglyphics and science, as more and more of the places and people who are in the bible are being found. That's not to say i believe in a higher being. Only that these things are accounted for in science and archeology. Go back to the study board and do your research.
To say there is no proof of the events insults scientist and archaeologist everywhere. This my friend is what we call ignorance. Again I am not a christian but I study archeology and absolutely hundreds of stories, places and people have been substantiated. Approach this from an educated view next time and perhaps you might have an argument. However, here you are ill-informed.

Not to mention what the BIBLE DOES SAY- has happened, and what is to come will come- and as I have said many times before, it is the HOLY SPIRIT who leads those who believe into all truth- Just as Jesus said- it is true! I have not only learned much more about God's truth, but the things he has said to come, and the signs of times to come- THEY ARE HAPPENING! I am not saying The Lord is coming back today or next week....but everything from how people will behave to what is going on in the world...it is happening. There is a LOT of spiritual warfare going on....you cannot see it- but its' there.
Without the Holy Spirit teaching you and guiding you- you will never understand. That is why we share the gospel! We want others to know the truth of God- not only do we hope the Lord will save them from their sins and Hell, but we want them to experience a relationship with Jesus Christ! As it says in Jeremiah 33:3 "Call to me and I will answer you, and show you great and unsearchable things you do not know" --I PRAISE GOD that he has opened my eyes to his wonderful truth- and that he is still teaching me today~
Go outside and look around at what is MADE. The sky, trees, grass, stars, ocean, mountains- every insect- every animal- there is an abundance of God's creation!

Go to www.essene.org There the Original Christians who went underground at the time of Christ they Kept their teachings. They prove the bible is mistranslated and misinterpreted They have facts from that time frame. Also lost teachings where found in the basement of the Vatican to also validate thees teachings.

If you want to know the answer to this question, do a web search on fulfilled bible prophecy,,,,be sure to check out the date it was prophesied and the date it was fulfilled with 100% accuracy, history will prove the answers of the fulfilled prophecies.... have fun reading if you really want to know.....you should find some sites that will give you the odds of these things happening as prophesied.....

alright, lets go on carbon 14 dating, carbon 14 only exists in measurable amounts for 11,460 years (+/- 40 years) . this means if we test something and get a date for it it cannot be more than 11,500/11,420 years old
