If not having free will makes you a robot, why do you search the Scriptures so diligently to find out what God wants so that you can obey Him like a...doesn't that make you a robot after all?

No. Our ways are painful. I choose God's ways because they are perfect. Don't you take the freeway instead of surface streets? God's way is better in the long run. He gives us wide latitude within His boundaries. I don't know anyone who is sad following His ways. They are not robots.

If you don't have free will, there is really no answer as to 'why' you do anything. It's an easy excuse to do stuff.
