Yes but in the place where Christ was born, women were concidered property and Jesus' ministry would have suffered great loss because God has to deal with people like us the way in which He finds us. No, they do not. Christianity is nearly as misogynistic as Islam.
1 Corinthians 11, Verse 3: "Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God."
Verse 7-9: "A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man."
Also, most sects of Christianity only allow men in holy or leadership positions.
There's really no question who comes first before God.
