Music is my most loved personal outlet. You can listen to music, ( i find that the faster, and the more intense guitar solo's the music has, it is a better stress releiver, some head pounding movie soundtracks [classical] OR calm, flowing music, also helps me). Playing it is the best outlet by far.

Lots of people like to clear their mind and focus on only their breathing when they meditate as a good way to releive stress also. Yoga is a favorite of mine.

I really like to excersize, so focusing on "just getting to the other end of the pool" is a great way to let all the stress i have bottled up inside out. I like to slam the volleyball too:) lol.

Another thing i like to do to is try to peice apart different things, like music. I know alot of people who enjoy soduko or kokuru as a stress outlet. (more logical brained people).

I also like to draw people and faces from magazines: people I have never met, and to just think about who they might be and why theyr'e there. I like to not focus on the physical drawing of "a nose" but of "a line, and a sort of wavy circle that curves in like a jelly bean here" this is the best way to relax for me. I hate to say it, but coming up with a face and drawing IT just doesnt do the job. I have to be just drawing what I see. And then I am fully relaxed.

Writing poetry, stories, little blurbs and facts and letting all my anger out in a notebook with scribbles and things.

I hope this helps! This is from firsthand experience. (under exxxtreemmeeee stress and really pressured by everyone to do my best and be perfect at the same time... at so many things... )

Do me a favor. If you are under extreme stress, please, dont take it out on the people you love, instead try to use an oulet like one of these. My mother was always extremely stressed and took it out on me. Please, please, please, try and find another way. Even if you dont think you have time, make it, work in any way you can. Take two minutes to write a few words before you go to bed... and you will wake up more refreshed than ever before.

if you keep hope in your heart, you will be able to get through any stressful situation that you go through. trust me :)

Breathing exercises and yoga. This advice from someone who struggles greatly with stress. The best solution, for me, has been the two suggestions above. Good luck, and remember to breathe!! :)

I like to meditate, read, get a massage, walk around my neighborhood, write in a journal, visit my nephew (who's a year and a half), do deep breathing, think of positive things and places, and talk to a friend to bounce ideas off of her or him.
