If you want hair to grow faster, you have to take supplements that work on your body chemistry to support hair's growth and strength at its genesis.....once it has grown out, it is just dead keratin
Try GNC, they make a supplement called "Nourishair" in formulas for men and women..they are HUGE pills and you have to take 2 daily. There is also a "Hair skin and nails" formula from Andrew Lessman that you can google, that has great ingredients and is easier to swallow, made by ProCaps labs. You can also take large doses of Biotin, sometimes called Vitamin H, take no less than 2500 micrograms daily to support healthy hair growth. It may take 6 to 8 weeks to see results.

Hir grows an average of half and inch a month. YMMV depending on genetics and how you care for your hair.

If you are using harsh products and blasting your hair with heat then your hair is going to break as fast as it grows, rather than show any length.

Instead of harsh treatment and braids, have you tried being gentle to your hair? Using gentle products and no heat? Lots of conditioners and a little natural oil? Protecting it rather than abusing it?

If you want long hair, why not just take proper care of it and grow your own, rather than having extensions?

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://bitly.im/aMKfe While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

Whatever you do, do not "tug" or "pull" your hair. This can cause breakage from the root or from the shaft of your hair.

If anything, just try not using any heat to your hair or harsh chemicals. If you must style your hair, use rollers instead.

Wash your hair at least twice a week; I say this because, to wash your hair daily can strip your hair of its natural oils...washing it less helps your hair to get back to its natural oiled condition.

Wash it daily, massaging your scalp stimulates the scalp and helps hair grow, or try platting it because pulling on it will help it grow aswell.
Good luck

wash your hair with cold water, this pulls down the hair particles and makes it longer, also get monthly trims to reduce split ends that ruin hair growth!
best of luck!
