I think it will work just fine. But if you tell your doctor that you have difficult time swallowing these hard pills, he/she might be able to give you powdered or liquid prescriptions. I had tough time taking pills just like you when I was a kid. I always got powder or liquid, so I think you can do the same.

It depends on the type of pill that it is. Some pills crushing them is fine but others it isn't. You need to check with your pharmacist on other ways to take your prescriptions. Good Luck!

You need to ask the pharmacist if it is safe to crush the medication you have. Bladder infections are usually treated with sulfonamide type drugs and it is usually safe to crush them, but not all meds are safe to crush. In fact if it is a sulfonamide, the pharmacist can probably give it to you in a liquid suspension form that might not taste quite as bad as crushing the pill. So, CALL YOUR DRUGSTORE and talk to the pharmacist.

When you crush a pill it has a bigger surface area and will be absorbed into your body quicker than it is sposed to. I would suggest chopping it in half only and taking the two halves straight after each other. If i were you tho i'd ask your doc to be on the safe side.

It is perfectly safe, but it just tastes bad and ruins the perpose of the pill, just put the pill in your mouth, lean back, fill your mouth with water, swallow and continue to fill your mouth with water at the same time. Trust me I take huge pills and I'm 12. Sometimes that happens!

As long as the bottle doesn't Say," Do not Crush" sure, mix it with honey. That's what I used to do when I couldn't swallow pills.Don't feel bad, I was 20 when I finally got it down pat. Good luck in your ventures!!

The only reason pills are in their state of shape is to make it easier for you.
If you have trouble by all means just crush it. But be sure to take the full dosage prescribed each time.

If your pill has a line on it, it is okay to crush or split it. But if not, you will destroy the chemical effect, and will not get the proper medication. I would ask your pharmacist how to make it more swallable. God Bless You!

Probably is fine unless it is some sort of time release pill. Call you pharmacist and he/she can let you know for sure.

Some meds are not meant to be crushed. It would help me greatly if I knew what it was you were prescribed and I can tell you immediately if it can or cannot be crushed.
