I just asked this question the other day. Most of the responses said because we're all pushy, bigots that think we're better than everyone else. I don't know any Christians like that, do you? I know alot of people claiming to be Christians like that. Doesn't it irk you to be grouped in with them? That's like saying all Arabs are terrorists.

There are many reasons someone can be against Christianity. One is that they just do not believe in any God and they feel that religion of any kind is a way to control the masses.
Another would be that they are not necessarily against Christianity, but against people that call themselves Christians. Many Christians claim the Bible is a holy book but they do not live by the book, or they pick and choose what they do live by. Although Christianity revers the old testament they seem to only follow part of the Old Testament beleifs and not the whole book.
Some Christians are very judgemental and tell the followers of other religions that what they do is wrong and that they will go to hell if they do not except Christ as their savoir, but Christ tells people that he is the ultimate judge and it is a sin to judge here on earth.
I think the main reasons for so much hate against Christians is that they are a prosteletizing religion, they don't just live by the religion but have a tendency (some not all) to shove it in people's faces and try to "save" as many as they can.
Personally I do not hate Christians or Christianity, I stand by their right to choose their relgion, to live by it or not, and to go out and spread the word of their God. I would never take that away, unfortuantly though most Christians would deny my religion, saying it is the work of the devil and that it should be banned from practice...even in the United States. I am a Pagan, and proud of it!

Religions in America says that 94% is Christian then has two pages of different ways to worship. Just the Baptist Church has a chapter.
Who exactly is against Christianity? Need more information?
Is it Islamic? They have 600 Islamic centers in the USA.
About 1 million people but compared to 300 million that isn't a lot.
The article says use to be accepted but people are now becoming afraid and a little more standoffish.

Oh, they'll give you the usual song and dance about the Inquisition, Witch Hunts and Crusades (can't get their mind in the present) or that the Chrisitians are shoving religion down their throats (even though, as a Christian, I get a lot of atheists, pagans and muslims doing the same to me) or that they are enlightened and we're always wrong.
THe thing is, if they care to do this, do a count of the board at any given time. I've done it and so have my pagan friends. The numbers we came across was amazing. Of ten questions per page, nearly every time we counted, we got an average of 50% insulting Christians and the remaining 50% was a mixture of insults to Muslims, Atheists and WSID. Even my pagan friends got the same counts and some of them aren't sympathetic to Christians.

The same reason so many people are against holistic medicine or animal rights or the first ammendment or global warming or gay marriages or world peace. Everyone wants to be an individual - but they want to have a voice in *something* so they pick a topic and join a group and the games begin.
People who are openly against any one religion because of the actions of only a handful who also claimed it as their own are the sorriest of people... in my humble opinion.

I can say that if the party is huge and there will be a mistake. Christian is a big big party of religious and had 45% popularity to follow. Their points must be good. There must be some people had different interpretation in the points of which will attack each other and will ruin the religious same time. One day when most of people Muslims, will also have attack statement.

There are as many people against it as there are for it. It is all about your perspective and your environment. Changing your environment may make see differently. Mass religions are just too sensitive of a topic for most people.

I think it's because there are a lot of crazies here. Crazies are always louder than the the average church goer. Religion is fine, I don't care what you believe, I'm not going to force my beliefs on you, don't force yours on mine, that goes for all religions and atheists. There are way too many people on here who don't know what they are talking about, yet want to twist religious texts to fit what ever they are trying to sell. If you're going to act as a mouth piece for any god, then read, and study dammit.
May J.R. "Bob" Dobbs bless and keep you always.

I'm not especially against it. I just can't believe in it. It doesn't make sense, it ignores fact, and it's not even consistent.
If someone else can get some measure of happiness and contentment from it, that's fine with me. All I ask is that you don't try to sell it to me, and that I don't have to pay for it in the form of tax subsidies, etc.

I'm not against Christianity. I AM against the teachings of (some) Christian 'leaders'. I AM against any form of ignorance and intolerance, regardless of the individulas alleged 'beliefs'.
