Good grief. The Holy Quran and Clouds. Whatever did we do without religion...
Well, for a start, we'd know that nebulae aren't the "smoke" that started the universe (The Holy Quran and the Origins of the Universe), they're the remains of dead stars that exploded and dispersed throughout space. As it happens, these ARE the origins of our existence. But I'd take the description proposed by Stephen Hawking and his ilk any day over Mohammed's vague scribblings about "smoke". That's going to answer a LOT!
That's what I think of that.

it is laughable at best to be honest. example, this is off of your silly little site :
"In the Holy Quran, God speaks about the stages of man’s embryonic development:
“We created man from an extract of clay. Then We made him as a drop in a place of settlement, firmly fixed. Then We made the drop into an alaqah (leech, suspended thing, and blood clot), then We made the alaqah into a mudghah (chewed substance)…” (Quran 23:12-14)
Literally, the Arabic word alaqah has three meanings: (1) leech, (2) suspended thing, and (3) blood clot.
In comparing a leech to an embryo in the alaqah stage, we find similarity between the two."
actually, the Arabic word that is written in the quran is عÙÙØ©, and that only has one meaning, blood clot. and what that passage says basically is that they (not Allah) make a little doll out of clay, but a blood clot into it and put it some where safe, like a hole in the ground. then they spit chewed leaves on it. that is an accurate translation of the Arabic writing in the quran.... see wise guy, this is what happens when you believe everything you read on a website without checking for your self.

Islam was always way ahead of Christianity on science.
As I understand it, Islam has a long tradition of welcoming scientific inquiry; many of the great advances before Europe's Rennaisance came from the Islamic world, which was the direct inheritors of the Greco-Roman tradition of science.
Religion and science are not necessarily at odds; only when religious zealots try to impose their dogma over real science do we get a problem. Scientists generally do not tell people how to approach religion, yet Christianity has a long tradition of interfering (or trying to) in science.
Islam has been very different on this account.

I'm assuming this site is a joke. It states that this passage from the qu'arn includes divine inspiration of the scientific facts of embryonic development.
"We created man from an extract of clay. Then We made him as a drop in a place of settlement, firmly fixed. Then We made the drop into an alaqah (leech, suspended thing, and blood clot), then We made the alaqah into a mudghah (chewed substance)…” (Quran 23:12-14)"
It sates that alaqah mean leech, and suspended thing. And that mudghah means chewed substance.
It then shows a picture of a zygote next to a drawing of a leech and says that there is a similarity between the two.
It shows an egg "suspended" in its mothers womb.
And finally it shows a undeveloped fetus and it's resemblance to a piece of chewed gum.
If this is real it couldn't be more ridiculous.

If you are very superstitious you can be very religious. If you are religious you can be made to believe almost anything. Has it ever occured to you that there are many religions in the world. Some with beliefs that sound like they're out of Star Wars, but to the followers of that religion they're just as true as you believe your Koran is. It's all in the mind. The mind is a strange item.

I don't need a magical book and a giant old man in the sky. Doesn't matter what religion it is or what you call your god.
And, btw, i'm not clicking on an islam site. The feds are probably monitoring all the activity on it, and I'll be put in a book of potential terrorists. I probably already am, come to think of it.

Um....I never said that I needed proof from a biased WEBSITE (poorly constructed one too, which leads me to believe it was a cheap at home job from an unreliable person).
Now, I can tell you this:
I think it's funny that even though you want us gone from this section, you continue to ask questions to try and get a nasty response from us, probably so you can report us or something.
Oh well, it's fun reading anyways!!!

You know... I can't argue with that. The fact that a living someone from earth, in the universe, wrote a peice of fiction does *indeed* prove that life, earth, and the universe must exist.
Past that it's all crap.
