unconstitutional? since when did foreign extremists that want all Americans dead have any rite that is written in the constitution. That is totally absurd. Do they go by our constitution? You cant play by two sets of rules in war. and dont give me the geneva convention either it says a war is between sides that clearly state their intentions by clothing or symbols that show you are fighting. you hide in within the population all bets are off.
to answer your question, you do whatever it takes to end the war. the longer it drags on the more people will lose their lives on both sides. If you think doing something that is against religious belief is torture, go look at what the vietnamese did to our soldiers, or back to the spanish inquisition, (google spanish inquisition torture devises, it will make you sick.) go back to native cultures and the horrible things they did to torture. Why is reality so tough to comprehend for some people?

There was a Gen in WW1 who fought Muslims. Those he captured he tied them up, killed a pig in front of them, dipped the bullets into the pigs blood and loaded his gun... promising that he would shoot them with the bullets if they didn't give him the answers he wanted. They talked of course... because pigs blood would damn them to hell for eternity according to their belief... and if he shot them with it, they would have pigs blood inside of them and not be allowed to enter their paradise.
I forget the guys name!!! I used to have a newspaper article about him lol He was fighting in the Phillipines (spelling) at the time.

Nope.
But there are many other methods. When you are dealing with terrorists (with reasonable assurity that the person is terrorist), we shouldn't stick to conventional tactics as the terrorists are trained to deal with it (example pearl murder case. Pearl could have been saved, if we could have gotten info out of the terrorist - I forgot his name).
We must be flexible in dealing with terrorists, otherwise they are not going to willingly provide us all the information we need.

that would be consider inhumane by today's standards....during the war in the phillipines us troop threatened to bury moslem insurgents in pig skins to get them to talk. it worked.
