After being spiritually raped by my old Southern Baptist preacher who spewed hatred from his pulpit, it took years for me to regain my belief in a loving God. They hate gays, they hate minorities and they are against a womans right to choose. 5 million of them are against gays adopting while 129,000 kids are awaiting adoptive homes in our country. They voted for Bush because he hates gays too, and this resulted in nearly 3K dead US soldiers in Iraq. The true God will judge them for this. If you take the angelic out of evangelical you get a word that sounds a lot like Evil. I'm glad Bush has dissapointed them, now it's time for him to kick them out of his administration for once and for all and stop funding their faith based, discriminatory initiatives. Until they live their lives according to the book of leviticus, they have no right quoting the one biblical excerpt from the book that condemns gays. I don't see them stoning their neighbors for working on the Sabbath. Leviticus says to.

The Southern Baptists churches I attended as a teen included preachings against interracial unions. Racism is a part of the very foundation of Evangelical faith.

When you have a monopoly on absolute truth based on a book written centuries ago by men who thought the world was flat and disease was caused by demons, you cannot be expected to act in a rational manner.

The hate you feel is not always the hate of the individual but the action. The hatred toward the individual is something that you may have perceived but is not true.(not in all cases unfortunately)
We are all fallible, no one is perfect and no one knows for sure about anything.
For we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. No one is without sin!!
Read 1 Cor 13, known as The Love Chapter . This is what I strive for and so should all who claim to have a relationship with the son of God and not just part of the religion Christianity.
1 Cor 13
1. If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3. I am sorry you had a bad childhood- or past might I say-
That is sad that so many "claimed" believers tend to be led astray so badly, they go completely against what God tells us.
Many preachers/pastors- are messed up. And the enemy will do whatever he can to mess with someone- by tainting scripture and feeding them lies. It is CRUCIAL to be led by the Holy Spirit- to PRAY continually for the Lord to teach you all truth- and to go to a good bible teaching church, one that does NOT veer off into false doctrine but sticks to the scriptures.
Many are led astray- and that is why Jesus tells us:
Matthew 25:41
"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
Matthew 7:23
Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
--I hope and pray that you will be able to get past this and know that the Lord does not condone this sort of thing. No christian should be hateful either- God tells us to LOVE one another- that is the greatest commandment of all~

Religious carrying by human being will carrying with mantal emotion and ideas which is not acepted by another people even they are the same religious. The arguement will soon be fight and hate coming up soon. If we can calm down and put down the own concept then think about other opinion and discuss, will come out with a perfect opinion and minimize hate and arguement.

It's a bunch of hateful people that use the Bible to manipulate people into being as miserable as they are. If you notice, it's mostly a bunch of older white men. And who do they attack or try to control? Gays, women, and minorities. This is because they know their complete power is slipping away, they're not the know-alls, be-alls of society anymore. So they're holding on to the last thread possible of their once privileged position, and using the Bible to do so.

Because they believe in such a God. They need to listen to the gospel of Jesus and repent more than anybody else in the world. Most of such preachers are spewing venom out into the world.

Rather than choosing to emulate the loving teaching methods of their founder, Jesus, they choose to be right. They want to be more right than others, or feel that their answers are the only answers. Rather than having love for the souls of men, they choose to deify their own. Instead of desiring to lead men to God, they have chosen to sit on ivory towers and judge others. They deem themselves to be not only better, but superior to people who don't view life the way they do.

Well, for many it's because the only way for them to feel good about themselves is to put others down. Hate is the easy road to superficial self-satisfaction.
