I have been best friends with this guy for my entire life (I can still remember the sandbox..), he lived next door -and still does- and well we've never had any physical attraction between us, until now that is. He is really good looking, but I never thought of him as more than a friend and the same for him, we always made fun of the people we date and we goof around a lot. About a week ago we were going to an after party with some friends, and I got stood up, he took me there and by the end of the night when we got back home, we kissed, stood in shock for a few seconds, we both apologized and went inside. Now, it been really awkward between us, I haven't spoken to him since that night, I know I should, but my brain is already spinning, any advice?

P.S: He has a girl friend, which makes the situation even messier

There is more to the story than this, you're saying that we both weren't serious about our relationships, that's not true. 2 days before the "incident" he was talking about propsing to his girl friend, and that what's making the situation more messy. I know he must be double as confused as I am, we're talking about a possible break up with his girl friend that he loves, the real question is, is there any undirect way that I can know how he really feels? I know that we both need to talk about this, but this is just too awkward!!!

talk to him before it get any more awkward. do you want to be with him? is it worth losin the friendship if things dont work out? you have to answer these kind of questions and then decide what you should do.

i think you guys should just go out, the fact that you have known each other for such a long time makes it a perfect starting point for the relarionship. and the fact that you make fun out of the people you date proves the point that none of you have never been serious about the person they have dated so far and you were both waiting for this moment somehow.i know this will work coz i have been in the same scenario before, good lucky.

You need to work for it if you want him. Sit him down and talk about it no matter how awkward it seems. Then kiss again.....longer and deeper.
