I had a similar thing happen to me. I was dropping my daughters father off from a visitation and a small box containing 3 pills in fell out of his pants pocket. Concerned it was something illegal, I took it to a local pharmacy. I explained how I found the pills and the pharmacist was happy to help. It ended up the pills were just generic Tylenol w/codine but I felt better knowing for sure. I suggest you do the same. That way you'll know for sure what he's taking. Or you can just ask him but that may open doors you dont want to go through right now. Someone mentioned snooping: I firmly believe that parents have a right to go through their kids rooms. My mom used to tell me that its her house and if I have anything I dont want her to see dont bring it the house. But it may be more hassle than its worth talking to your son about this. The pharmacy is prob the best way to go. Good Luck.

I'm sorry jennifer; I have no idea. Your 2 best options: call a pharmacy tomorrow and ask them; otherwise, first thing Monday morning around 9:00 am, call a doctor's office and tell them of your situation and ask if they can tell you (might have a little research to do before they can say). Hopefully by 11:00 am Monday, you will know something.

I believe that is Toprol XL. I used this site to find the name and th picture is exactly what you have described. Check for yourself...
The pill is not Eliptical, but oval.

I don't know what kind of pill that is, but when I found a pill that my daughter half ate, I called poison control and they told me what it was. I also suggest you call your local pharmacy, because they would probably know. Good luck to you.

Try this... if this doesnt work, consider sitting your son down to some heart to heart talking.
You could also ask your local pharmacy to help you identify the pill as they would have access to a PDA.... Hope it's nothing!

Strongly suggest you call your local drug store and ask to speak to a pharmacist for correct identification.

Take it to a pharmacist, don't rely on laypeople who can't see it.
