Sometimes, after I wake up, I notice that my left side hurts a little. I can't say exactly if it's a dull pain or a stabbing pain because it's a very low-grade pain (and it's sort of a light stabbing feeling and a dull feeling mixed together, if that makes any sense). It *sort* of feels like the early beginnings of indigestion (that weird "air-in-the-gut" feeling) but it goes away after a few minutes and I'm fine again. I'm not quite sure if the feeling is in my intestines or somewhere else in the vicinity (maybe a kidney? I don't think the pain radiates to the back though... not positive).
The pain is generally in the area above my hip, in the curvature. It isn't a muscle ache or cramping feeling though. The first time I felt this pain was a few days before my period and I am currently still on my period (it's finishing up, I think). I've also been stressed for a month or so now so could that be an issue?
