My left eyelid doesn't open as far as my right. Is there someone out there who is able to fix this? How much would it cost?

It's just my eyelid, not my eye. It's not horrible bad, some people dont even notice but I do when I look in the mirror. It just seems to throw off the symmetry of my whole face.

There are doctors that specialize in oculo-plastic surgery. They are opthalmologists with additional training in plastic surgery. Some of them specialize in eyelid disorders. You will need to go to a regular opthalmologist for evaluation and referral.
Unless your visual fields are impaired this is considered cosmetic and not covered by insurance.

Yes, you would need to see an oculoplastic surgeon. It depends on the cause, but there are various techniques that can treat this that are not over expensive and although surgical, can be performed under a local anasesthetic with or without sedation. HTH : )

You can find a lot of web discussions about this in health forums like medhelp.org, ehealthforum.com and right here in Yahoo Answers. These forum discussions give lots of good first-person experiences, and you can find them with the health forum search engine, DNoneOfTheAbove.com

I would first contact your eye doctor and see what he says. He could refer you to someone. I know plastic surgeons could aslo fix it.

There is surgery to correct this, but I am not certain who would actually do it, whether it falls under a kind of plastic surgery or not
