Christ says if He, as the Son of God, was persecuted, so will all who follow Him. I guess this applies to yahoo as well. It just goes to show how true that statement is.

Remember, Jesus tells us that the world will hate us because it hated him- Just know that when someone is saying ugly things to you, KNOW that it is because you speak the TRUTH! You can rejoice in knowing that the TRUTH is being exposed and that hearts are being convicted- Praying that the Lord is drawing them to Him....
"Rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed" 1 Peter 4:13
John 15:18
[ The World Hates the Disciples ] "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.

To be honest... The answer to that question is not as important as what God tells us to do with those who treat Chrsitians like they do.
Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Just pray for them. And Yes I do love the Lord and praise Him every day of my life.

I'm no Christian, and I prefer to debate -not insult- (although I sometimes fall into that trap), but I do respect your right to follow your path.
I only hope for reciporocal respect, which some people of various faiths seem unwilling to offer.

I love God, and I'm not shy about saying that.
People take some comfort out of attacking that which they do not know or understand. To some, it's all a matter of "the stone is mightier than the mind".
I'll add you to my prayers for your continue faith and strength.

Which Lord? The one who says that hell and sin are real? The one who says they're not? The one described in the bible? The one directly experienced by some people? Which one?

I love the Lord too! :)
Remember what Jesus said..."10Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
