Tuesday - Strength training for 20 minutes in morning, 15 minute workout in afternoon, 45 minute walk in evening, toning exercises for arms, legs and abs in evening.

Wednesday- Same as Monday

Thursday same as Tuesday

Friday same as Monday

Saturday- 30 minute walk in morning, 20 minute workout in afternoon, 45 minute walk in evening. Plus toning exercises.

Sunday - 30 minute walk in morning, strength training in afternoon, 45 minute walk in evening, plus toning.

I will be eating 5 meals a day, and will be eating around 1300 calories. (healthy meals of course)

Is this a good workout plan? How long will it take for results? My main thing is getting a flat stomach. How long do you think it would take to get a flat stomach?

Thanks!

sounds good, its just you need a day to let your body rest. You do not want to strain your body and I heard it is recommended to rest every so often.

Compared to other girls your height, you are of normal weight, but weigh more than average. This may be because of your natural build, or could be because you have some extra fat. Your pictures are a little out-of-focus, and it would probably help to show better pictures with more light, so the camera can focus.

Your body seems trim, although not really skinny, so you may feel fat compared to your classmates. You are still growing, so you should focus on doing a good eating and exercise plan, which you've started here.

I can't really tell from the pictures, but it doesn't look like you have much muscle definition in your tummy, so I'm guessing you don't exercise much. Doing both toning and walking will be good, because you will be building muscle and burning fat. Muscle burns calories 24/7, so having some muscle mass is good for long-term fat loss.

Don't be afraid to start slower than you've got here. Work up to exercising 30-45 minutes a day, 4-5 days a week first. You may not be able to start that much, but that's OK. The goal is to make your workouts longer and harder over time.

Keep a food diary. Write down everything you eat, and how much. If you aren't losing any pounds or inches, then start adding up those calories to see whether you really are eating as much as you should. It's hard to track whether you really are eating healthy or sticking to a calorie limit. But your tummy and love handles will keep track of every extra soda or piece of cake if you don't. I would recommend more calories if you are under 18, since your body is still growing, but if you track your waist and hips measurement along with your weight, you will know whether you are eating too much.

A couple of improvements:

1. When you are doing strength training, you need to rest one day in between workouts. Otherwise your muscles can't heal and you won't get what you want, you may injure yourself instead.

2. You can work your abs every day but you don't need to.

3. 3 - 5 good cardio workouts of 20 - 60 minutes a week is plenty. 3 is enough, 5 is better if you want to drop faster.

4. Be sure you are drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day AND getting enough sleep.

5. Soda and carbohydrates can both cause bloating. Make sure the carbs you do eat are good ones (its a bad idea to eliminate all carbs, but lowering them will help you lose fat faster). This means vegetables, fruits and whole grains.

6. Not all ab exercises are the same. Make sure you are doing them with correct form so you get your best results AND don't hurt your back.

7. Your ab routine should include your back and obliques too. Strengthing your entire mid section will look better faster.

8 . time of day is pretty much irrelevant, do your exercise when it fits your schedule and you can keep it up consistently. Splitting it up isn't necessary at all, but may make it easier for you to do.

9. Over training is a bad idea because you can suffer stress injuries, as well as burn yourself out so you don't reach your goals or make yourself ill.

10. If you are a member of a gym, get the trainer to get your started so you understand how to maximize your results safely.

Good luck

You should see visible results in a week or two (use a tape measure, not just the scale) and probably need just a few weeks to be a lot happier with yourself.

How tall are you and how much do you weigh now? That's a good workout routine and you diet sounds good (1300-1500 is ideal assuming youre under 5'6" and if I'm guessing your weight correctly). The rest depends on what your body thinks is your ideal body weight. If youre there now, you'll basically have to become aneroxic to get a flat stomach. My guess though is that you'll have a hard time losing more than 5 lbs. You'll probably see a pound or two come off really quickly, but the rest will be slow going and hard work.

I think that's too much. You need some rest days during the week. I would break it down to something like this

Mon - Upper body weight training, 30 min low intensity cardio
Tue - Lower body weight training, 30 min low intensity cardio
Wed - High intensity cardio, Abs
Thu - same as Mon
Fri - same as Tue
Sat - same as Wed
Sun - rest

Or

Mon/Wed/Fri - Whole body weight routing
Tue/Thu/Sat - cardio, abs
Sun - rest and maybe add take Sat off too.
