She needs to develop coping strategies. She needs to address WHY something as simple as homework is getting her stressed out.
Could she need a tutor?
Could she be putting things off and then stressing when too much is due at once?
Could she be not paying attention in class and then she can't understand the assignments?
Can she talk to the teacher to ask for help with her studies or clarification on the assignment?

I like exercise such as kickboxing or something really intense. and alternately, yoga or stretching can help you wind down at night.
Also, keep to a schedule, make sure you stay organized (Boring but effective) don't procrastinate or spend too much time nit-picking at final details on things that are not as important (prioritize by most important assignment and then spend the most time on those)
Also, take the time to do fun things. take breaks from assignments, both short breaks while working and days off when able. (but always go right back the next day)
Get enough sleep. eat healthy foods. punch pillows or scream into them.
stay in touch with friends.
hope this helps!

You cannot get rid of stress, you can only change the way you react to the stressors that are present. There are some good stress management skills that can be learned in various venues, suggest you research stress management.

I don't know about what you SHOULD do, but here are some ideas: -scream into a pillow -write down all your angry thoughts and rip them up -write a poem -watch tv/go on the internet to distract yourself -do some homework/work -clean your room basically anything that would make you think/sort out how you feel/take your mind off your bad feelings.

Exercise. It's the best, cheapest way. Taking a walk after a long homework bout is great! A bike ride is nice to. Just get out and walk and think about what you see in the world, not what you've been working on. Just work your body until you feel physically tired, not just mentally tired.
